One of Unlocking Letters and Sounds “extra” classroom resources, this single-sided mat shows the graphemes that are taught in Phase 2, together with the action image associated with each grapheme.
Mats are an excellent resource to scaffold children’s learning. They can be used to support their writing and they may also be useful for some children (e.g. the lowest 20%) to access during whole class phonics lessons.
